March 6th Update

Good morning Logos Family,

This has been a fun week with all the students celebrating Reading Week, Dr Seuss Week. All the costumes have been fun and our students have been celebrating the joy of reading.

Today is the 100th Day dress-up where everyone dresses up like people of our past concentrating on our heritage.

Believe it or not, today is also the end of the 3rd Quarter. This year is flying by. 

Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up beginning **next **Friday March 14 **and our big **SILVER LININGS GALA  is SATURDAY MARCH 15 Please see the attached flyer.

We are mailing out Intent to Return forms today. We would ask that you please return them to the office by March 20. Already need to start planning for next year :-)

Spirit Wear is available at the office if you are interested in purchasing sweatshirts, caps etc. to help advertise this great school.

Family Bingo Night **is coming up on **April 10, at 6:30 pm

This is always a fun time for the Logos Family to get together.

March 20 Update

Good afternoon Logos Family

What a great week. The Gala was a huge success. I couldn't say it better than the article that Mrs. Lyle wrote for the Post.

"Logos Christian Academy’s 25th Anniversary Silver Linings Fundraising Gala was a tremendous success. We cannot express enough gratitude, first to our God and then to the wonderful people who made this event possible. A special thank you goes to Brenna Goings, Whitney Brown, and the fundraising committee for not only organizing this event but also for making it beautiful and seamless. As always, UPLIFT and their enthusiastic volunteers took charge of the drink stations, photo vignettes, and stunning decorations. A huge shout out to Cori and 3C’s Catering for the incredible food that did not disappoint, featuring mouthwatering tri-tip, crispy green beans, and potatoes au gratin that would make anyone weak in the knees."......

We are so thankful to our God, our Logos Family and our community for your generosity.

For those who may have missed the Gala, we believe God has given us another "Red Sea" miracle for our school. We are working on a plan to lease/purchase a property from the Victory Baptist church at 1445 Lucas Road. We believe there will be many advantages to this property. For many years Logos has wanted/needed to purchase a property of its own. This property will actually be owned by Solo Gratia, Inc dba Logos Christian Academy. Other advantages: It is  closer to Fernley **that, to our knowledge, has no Christian schools. Our families will no longer need to contend with the Numa traffic in the mornings. There is a structure in place with a **Chapel **and possible future classrooms and more.There is **much more to tell and we will keep you informed as the process unfolds. Please keep our leadership in prayer **as we make decisions and pray for **God's will in all we do. It is exciting to watch Him work again as He did 2 years ago.I have attached **a possible **plot plan we developed just to be sure everything would fit properly on the available acreage of 4 acres total. We may need to stay in our present location one more year but we will see. Either way next year is going to be great! We have some really good things happening! (didn't want to use great again :-)

Please also see the attached flyer advertising FAMILY BINGO NIGHT coming up on Thursday April 10th at 6:30 pm. This is always a great time of fun and fellowship with the Logos Family thanks to UPLIFT.

Our Annual SPEECH MEET is also coming. Our students are always amazing in this fun, educational and rewarding time. Thanks to Mrs. Duarte who is working hard organizing the event. ( please see the attached ad)

I've also been asked to announce the 8th Grade Bake Sale Thursday, March 27 at 4:05 pm. All donations will go toward the 8th Grade Field Trip. (Flyer Attached)

Lots of attachments this week but I also wanted to show you a picture of the fun, patriotic and educational field trip Mrs. Fitzer's class **took to the **Hawthorne War Museum. 

Just a quick reminder. Please return your  "INTENT TO RETURN" form to reserve your child's place at Logos. We are also looking at curriculum needs for next year and need to know the number of students in each class as soon as we can. 

In case you missed my* friendly reminder* this week. We are experiencing a few illnesses in our school. If your child has a fever or productive cough we respectfully ask if you would please keep them at home for the protection of the other children and staff.
